This year’s contest is open to any business registered for the Switch Out program that return at least two pails containing automotive mercury switches during the contest period (January 1st to December 31st, 2011). Businesses that met or exceeded the contest entry requirements by October 31, 2011 were automatically entered into a draw to win an early bird prize.
This year’s early bird prize is media coverage generously donated by Media Matters Inc., the group that publishes Canadian Auto Recyclers and Collision Repair magazines. An article about the winning business will appear in the 2012 edition of Canadian Auto Recyclers Magazine.
This year’s early bird prize was awarded to Parkway Auto Recyclers of Kitchener, Ontario. Congratulations to Trevor Generoux and the rest of the Parkway Team!
One lucky business will win an iPad 2 (and the envy of their friends!) in our Grand Prize draw.
This prize is jointly sponsored our wonderful program supporters, the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries (CARI) and the Automotive Recyclers of Canada (ARC).
The grand prize draw will be held in January 2012,
so you still have time to qualify by sending in your switches!
Top Switch Out Participants
Top Switch Out participants will have the chance to appear in a new feature called “Switch Out Coast to Coast” in the Canadian Auto Recyclers e-zine. The recycler from each Province and Territory that returns the most mercury switches in 2011 will be profiled in this monthly e-zine feature. Thanks again to our friends at Media Matters for sponsoring this great prize!
